Blackpool Pleasure Beach is Britain's top free tourist attraction, welcoming over 7 million visitors each year. Founded in 1896 with one ride, it now boasts over 145 rides and attractions, several spectacular shows, 54 eateries, and the Ocean Boulevard shopping promenade.

The Edwardian-style shopping promenade, created in 1990, contains 26 retail outlets selling a wide range of souvenirs and children's goods. With so many customers, and a season which runs from March to November, the Pleasure Beach had to find the right retail software and management system. It chose Retail Control from Bleep Computing.
